The rally will bring with it

will be at 5pm on Sunday 25th May at the carnival area and
the winners will be presented with their prize money and trophies
by the Menteri Besar for Perlis, Dato’ Seri Dr Md Isa

As a special treat for the
public, organizers of the Rally, Wheel Sport Management (WSM),
are bringing stars from Astro’s Akademi Fantasia to
entertain the public at 3pm on each day of the rally carnival.
In fact, the whole weekend
is set to be packed with fun, family activities including
Autokhana and futsal competitions and a classic car and motorbike
show. Kids will delight in the colouring and hula hoop competitions
and parents can take home great prizes by entering the karaoke
competition and quizzes.

skills negotiating a designated route in as short a time as
possible. Time penalties will be given for any blunders or
wrong maneuvers. The top five drivers will take home great
prizes.
If Autokhana is not your style,
there is big prize money up for grabs in the caged futsal
competition. Teams of four can sign up to win RM1000, RM500
and RM300 cash for first, second and third prize respectively.
The entry fee is RM10 per person

Another treat for the public
is the chance to meet the participants of the new reality
TV show “Malaysia’s Next Rally Champion, 5,4,3,2,1…Zero
to Hero” which was launched in Kuala Lumpur last week.
15 teams of driver and co-driver
were chosen to compete to become Malaysia’s next rally
champions.
The Perlis Round of the MRC
gives them their first taste of rallying and the reality show
participants will compete in a special round of the Autokhana
to earn points for their team. They will also spend time in
theory training sessions learning the rules of rallying and
the role of the driver and co-driver.
The show will only go to air
in October on Astro Ria, but from now until then the participants
will take part in theory and practical sessions aimed at improving
their driving and navigation skills, technical knowledge and
knowledge of rallying.
The show was started by WSM
to build up a pool of young rally drivers with the intent
of keeping the extreme sport of rallying alive in Malaysia.
So pack your family into the
car and make your way to Dataran Dato’ Sheikh Ahmad
next weekend for lots of fun and entertainment and great Rally
action!
