OF FAMILY FUN AT FELDA RALLY CARNIVAL THIS WEEKEND
25 June 2008, Kuantan: There’s
plenty of family fun to be had in Felda Lepar Hilir 1 this
weekend (28-29 June) because the Malaysian Rally Championship
(MRC) is in town and the organizers, Wheel Sport Management,
together with Felda are putting on a two-day free carnival
for the public.
Held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Felda Lepar
Hilir 1, the carnival will have fun-filled family activities
including colouring and hula hoop competitions for the kids,
booth displays, quizzes and an Autokhana competition. There
are also loads of great prizes to be won.
The Autokhana competition is sure
to be fun and is open to anyone with a Malaysian driver’s
license. Contestants will test their driving skills negotiating
a designated route with time penalties given for any blunders
or wrong maneuvers. The entrance fee is only RM10 per car.
The carnival will be situated right
next the rally Service Park where the rally drivers and
their teams of mechanics meet to repair and replenish their
vehicles during the race. So you can catch the exciting
rally action and meet some local motorsports stars whilst
you’re enjoying the carnival.
This weekend is the third Round of
the Malaysian Rally Championship for the 2008 Season. 25
cars will take part including a team each from New Zealand
and India.
The official flag-off for the rally
will be at 12 noon, Saturday 28 June at Sek. Keb. Felda
Lepar Hilir 1 and the Prize Giving Ceremony will be held
on Sunday at 5pm at the same venue. Grab the chance to get
up close to the rally cars and the teams and enjoy a great
family fun weekend out!
