CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER TO COMPETE IN mr7

2005 Malaysian Rally and Production
World Rally Champion (P-WRC), Toshi Arai makes a return to
Malaysia in the upcoming Ancom Malaysian Rally 2007 to be
held from 10-12 August in Malaysias southern most state
of Johor.
Arai will be part of the three
car MotorImage Rally Team in a Group N Impreza WRC. While
not competing in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC)
this year, Arai is the current leader of the P-WRC, 14 points
clear of his nearest rival Mark Higgins.
Glenn MacNeall, who most famously
co-drove for Chris Atkinson in the Subaru World Rally Team,
will be joining Arai in the navigators seat. This will
only be their second pairing after APRC Rally Hokkaido in
July this year where they were forced to retire in the first
Leg. The Australian competed in nine rounds of the FIA World
Rally Championship in 2001 with Arai aboard a Subaru Impreza
World Rally Car.
The next round of the P-WRC
championship is Rally New Zealand which will take place from
31 August to 2 Sept.

The FIA Production car World Rally Championship (P-WRC) is
the showcase support championship to the pinnacle of rallying
the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).
If WRC is the premier league of rallying, then P-WRC is the
first division with drivers doing everything they can to prove
their skills during a fast and furious tour around the globe.
