BAHRU - Chris Atkinson is now the man to beat in the Malaysian Rally
Championship 2011 over the terrains of the Tai Tak Estate in Kota
Tinggi,Johor.
The
Australian driver took his Proton Satria Neo across the estimated
150km race yesterday to finish well ahead of the rest to take a
firm grip on the Asia Pacific Rally Championship title which he

BAHRU - Japan's Yuya Sumiyama is the fastest of them all alongside
Indonesia's Rifat Sungkar on the opening day of the Malaysian Rally
2011 in Johor Baru.
Over
the purposes built 2.5km dirt track for the special stage race on
Friday, the two of them in a similiar Mitsubishi Evo X, clocked
a similiar 2mins 02.1secs to finish at the top.

reigning Champion and 4 times Asia Pacific Rally Champion (APRC),
Cody Crocker has joined team Pennzoil GSR for the 2011 season of
the Malaysian Rally Championship.
39
year old Crocker, is the only driver that has successfully defended
the Asia Pacific Rally Championship title 4 consecutive times; including
career wins of 34 outright and 24 wins in APRC events under his
belt. He will be driving a Subaru Impreza STI Version 10 in this
years Malaysian Rally Championship and will also represent the team
for Malaysian Rally 2011 (MR 11) Asia Pacific Round in Johor. MORE

RALLY DAY' A SUCCESS!

LUMPUR - Exclusive organiser, Wheel Sport Management brought rally
out of the plantations and onto the busy streets of the city with
'KL Rally Day', proving to be a success not only among locals but
tourists.
The
three competing teams - Proton Motorsports, Pennzoil GSR Racing
Team, and MRU Motorsports created quite a commotion at Bukit Bintang,
Sogo, Pusat Bandar Damansara, and Damansara Uptown with their attention
grabbing cars and loud revs.
The
parade was an effort by the organizers to expose the sport to the
masses and also as a treat to the existent rally fans in Kuala Lumpur.

multiple Australian and Asia-Pacific Rally Champion Cody Crocker
2010 was an extremely lean year. A new year though and fresh opportunities
have presented themselves, Crocker confirming a limited Asia-Pacific
campaign followed on with an all-out assault on the Malaysian Rally
Championship.
"Last
year was definitely tough," admitted Crocker. "It's hard
after so many years competing continuously to suddenly find, through

up beasts such as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, Subaru Impreza WRX,
