Australian
reigning Champion and 4 times Asia Pacific Rally Champion (APRC),
Cody Crocker has joined team Pennzoil GSR for the 2011 season of
the Malaysian Rally Championship.
39
year old Crocker, is the only driver that has successfully defended
the Asia Pacific Rally Championship title 4 consecutive times; including
career wins of 34 outright and 24 wins in APRC events under his
belt. He will be driving a Subaru Impreza STI Version 10 in this
years Malaysian Rally Championship and will also represent the team
for Malaysian Rally 2011 (MR 11) Asia Pacific Round in Johor. MORE

For
multiple Australian and Asia-Pacific Rally Champion Cody Crocker
2010 was an extremely lean year. A new year though and fresh opportunities
have presented themselves, Crocker confirming a limited Asia-Pacific
campaign followed on with an all-out assault on the Malaysian Rally
Championship.
"Last
year was definitely tough,¡± admitted Crocker. ¡°It¡¯s hard after
so many years competing continuously to suddenly find, through no

LUMPUR - Be on the lookout for Asia-Pacific & Malaysia Rally
Championship cars this Wednesday 23rd March from 11am till 5pm as
they parade through the streets of Klang Valley, bringing the rally
to the road as part of the KL Rally Day.
Team
Proton Motorsports, Pennzoil GSR, and MRU Motorsports will be revving
up beasts such as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, Subaru Impreza WRX,
Proton Gen-2 and both the Proton Satria Neo 1.6 as well as the Proton
Satria Neo S2000..

As the close
off date approaches there are now 18 confirmed drivers registered
to compete in one or more of the Asia Pacific Rally Championship
competitions. As entries for Pacific Cup are not required until
April 21 this number is expected to grow further.
Heading
the drivers registered for the full six round competition is last
years champion Katsu Taguchi from Japan. The APRC's most experienced
driver is joined again by Indian team-mate Gaurav Gill in Race-Torque
prepared MRF Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 10's. Australian Chris Atkinson
and Alister McRae from the UK will both drive for the factory backed
Proton team using the latest S2000 Satria Neos. As last year, it
is expected that these two teams will provide most of the competition
and it will be interesting to see if the R4 spec'd Mitsubishi's
can foot it with the very quick and nimble Protons. MORE

Rally Championship 2011.

Malaysia Sdn Bhd proudly announced the participation of the PENNZOIL
GSR RACING TEAM in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship this year
with former Malaysian Rally Champion Gunaseelan Rajoo behind the
wheels together with co-driver Jagdev Singh. He added that PENNZOIL
GSR Racing Team's duo shall also be the only Malaysian's that shall

Entries
and interest in the 2011 Asia Pacific Rally Championship continues
to grow as the close-off date for FIA registered entries (March
11th ) approaches.
With
Proton, MRF and Cusco teams having confirmed their entries two Malaysian
teams have recently announced their plans, including a fleet of
cars for the MRU team owned by Mohammed Rafiq. MORE
